How to enter a code
- Locate your brand in the Code List (codes are listed by brand and in order of popularity).
- Turn on the device (not standby) and point the remote at it.
- Press the device key to set up (e.g. TV).
- Hold SETUP until the LED under the device key blinks twice.
- Enter the first 4-digit code for your brand; the LED blinks twice on the last digit.
- Aim at the device and press POWER (or Play/Pause if the original remote had no Power key). If it turns off, you're done; otherwise repeat with the next code.
- For onn-brand TVs the manual lists TV codes 4398, 1709, 3024, 3078, 5118, 1756, 5438 (hold the device key, then hold SETUP until the LED blinks twice, enter the code).
No code works? Auto code search
- The manual has no full auto code search; its search method is SimpleSet (brand search) for common brands.
- Find your brand in the SimpleSet list and note its digit key.
- Turn on the device and point the remote at it (for streaming boxes, have something playing).
- Press the device key, then hold SETUP until the LED under the device key blinks twice.
- Hold down the brand's digit key: the remote sends Power every 3 seconds (Play/Pause for devices without power), for up to a minute.
- Release the digit as soon as the device turns off or pauses; the LED blinks twice. If some keys don't work, start again and the remote continues with the next code.
