Universal remote codes for TVs

Pick the brand of your universal remote. Every code comes from the remote maker’s own list, and each page shows how to program it.

Or skip the codes: your phone is already a remote

If your TV is a smart TV on Wi-Fi, NoRemote controls it with nothing to program. Free for one TV.

Questions people ask

How do universal remote codes work?

Each code tells the remote which infrared signals your TV brand understands. You enter the code once, then the remote sends the right signals for power, volume, channels and inputs.

Where do these codes come from?

From the remote makers’ own code lists: Jasco for GE, RCA’s official Remote Code Finder, Philips’ SRP9232D code list and onn’s product guide. Each page links its sources.

Do I need a universal remote for a smart TV?

Not if the TV is on your Wi-Fi. A phone remote app controls Samsung (2016 on), LG, Roku TV, Vizio SmartCast, Google TV and Fire TV with no codes. TVs without Wi-Fi still need an IR remote.
